COURSE DESCRIPTION

This Economics course is taught from a natural law/free market/private property rights point of view.  In addition to learning the basics of Economics through the Richard Maybury books, students will also learn the Dave Ramsey approach to personal finance through DVD presentations and workbook exercises.

 TEXTBOOKS

Students will need to purchase the following textbooks:

  • Student Text – Foundations in Personal Finance for High School by Dave Ramsey at Dave Ramsey’s Store.
  • Whatever Happened to Penny Candy by Richard Maybury, ISBN: 10: 0942617622
  • The Clipper Ship Strategy by Richard Maybury, ISBN: 10: 0942617371

COSTS

  • Tuition**
    $60 per month – 5 months
  • Materials Fee**$50 for the semester (non-refundable) due at Registration

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This course is a one semester (17-week) course.  It will include a field trip to The Federal Reserve in Atlanta.
