The National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) is a joint venture between State Departments of Education and Wildlife.  Several archery equipment manufacturers and organizations are partners in the program.  NASP promotes student education, physical education and participation in the lifelong sport of archery.  NASP is the largest youth archery program in history and currently serves 2.23 million student archers.  It continues to grow due to its ever-increasing relevance to promote student success and academic emphasis.

The program focuses on international-style target archery training.  It is highly standardized to maintain archery's "best in sports" safety record and to be mastered by students of varying abilities and backgrounds.  And through it, students are learning focus, self-control, discipline, patience, and the life lessons required to be successful in the classroom and in life.

Through NASP-certified instructors at Vantage Point Education, students will prepare for tournament competitions.  One of the most exciting aspects of NASP are the competitions.  There are many opportunities for schools to participate in competitions throughout the school year.  It is a time for the students to enjoy the benefits of all their hard work and for parents, family and friends to watch the students compete.  Each year, NASP awards over $300,000 in cash scholarships to state, provincial, and national tournament winners to be used for post-secondary tuition costs.

The class will meet once a week and all instruction will be outdoors.
